  Audio Lingual Method Backward Build-up Drill (Drill to speak by repeating a sentence that starts phrase by phrase from backward) e.g.  A teacher says a sentence (He sent a postcard in the post office); Students repeat by speaking phrase by phrase  They repeat STARTING from backward “post office”, “the post office”, “in the post office”, “a post card in the post office”, “sent a postcard in the post office”, “He sent a post card in the post office”. The target for it, is to be able to speak a complete sentence. Repetition Drill (students repeat words, phrases, or sentences spoken by the teacher directly, accurately, and quickly) e.g.  A teacher says “This is a smartphone”, then students repeat it as accurately and quickly as possible. Chain Drill (group practice with questions and answers) e.g.  A teacher makes groups for them; A teacher gives a sentence for each group (examples in answering it); A leader of the group says “What is this (he/she shows a board ma...
